Why is asus on msn

I guess I should have put in my original post that I already tried that. What happens with I go to internet options and type in www. I've never seen this happen before. Anyone got any other ideas? It seems that Asus has hijacked the homepage. Thanks very much.

My understanding is that Windows carries out an internet connection check during the start-up process.

The content filter was delaying the connection check from being carried out, this was why when I reached the desktop the default browser was opening msn. After clicking on Uninstall a Program a list of all programs installed on the PC are visible, you will need to look for any content filtering software you have installed in this list.

A password maybe required to remove this type of software. I also have this issue and quesiton, although my default browser is Chrome. I have found in searching that many other users are also experiencing a problem with this and have only been able to disable this through a registry edit--which then makes some Microsoft products have connection issues.
